XXXX Company in the Philippines first invited David Reddin of Reddin Partners to work with us in November 2004. He came highly recommended by our Regional Office to assist us in enhancing the interviewing skills of our staff at various levels.
David's first challenge was to engage our full senior team and introduce them to assessment interviewing skills, get their buy in and engagement, and from there roll it out to their direct reports in turn. We were looking for training that was practical and commercially realistic in a market where talent can be thin on the ground, and where all major companies are actively competing for top talent.
David introduced us to an interview process that is extremely rigorous, and yet one that truly enables the interviewer to establish rapport with a candidate and encourages him to open up and share his story. The information that flows from these interviews is incredibly powerful and certainly opened our eyes to the importance of continual assessment of the patterns, choices, motivations and trends that do underpin each person's career.
